Hello there! We are so stoked you’re here! We’re Daniel and Shelby, a husband and wife team based in Southern California who love filmmaking and photography. We’ve been shooting weddings since 2013, and have had the privilege of working with so many great companies and creatives along the way.

We truly love what we do.
We first met in film school at Biola University. We quickly bonded over our passion for storytelling outside of Hollywood. We began dating and working together on short films, commercials, weddings, and other projects, quickly realizing how well we work together. Eventually, Daniel popped the question in 2018 and Viby Creative was born!
Our days consist of working from home at our studio, rock climbing, slacklining, and walking our dog Parker (@doodnamedparker) to the nearest taco shop. We’re NOT morning people, we enjoy pineapple on pizza, and know for a fact all dogs go to heaven.
We love Jesus, and believe God has given each individual a unique story worth sharing. We are so fortunate to be able to work with the most amazing couples, doing what we love together.
Our Story

Daniel
Shelby
A pure enneagram 7, Shelby is the social queen and is always down for the next adventure. She’s a former collegiate softball player who’s travelled to over a dozen countries. With her father working in the tv industry, she always felt called to be a storyteller.
After graduating with a degree in film, she started Viby Creative (and later hired Daniel once he proposed).
Her happy place is the beach, and she could not survive more than a few days without her dogs.
Daniel is the silliest introvert you’ll ever meet. He grew up juggling parkour and baseball, but can pretty much play any sport you can think of. He’s always searching for the perfect cold brew, and knows more about camera gear than anyone I know. He’s a crazy dog dad and unashamed of it, which is probably what I love most about him.
After getting his film degree, he worked in marketing and fell in love with working with brands and telling people’s stories.
He’s the organized to my chaos, the handsome to my crazy, the Enneagram 1 to my 7 and the love of my life.
