CALLING ALL WEDDING VENDORS: Prep yourself before you wreck yourself.

Time to criticize ourselves! In this episode, we are talking about the importance of getting to know your couple, and are sharing some of our mistakes over the years; and some of these are embarrassing…

Mistakes like…

1. Showing up the minute your Bride starts getting ready (like 8am)

2. Not being able to tell the difference between the groom and his best man (spoiler, they were twins)

3. Asking the bride who the flower girl is on the wedding day, finding out it’s her daughter (it’s fine everything’s fine).

Getting to know your couple is SUPER important when telling their story on their wedding day. You will capture more pure and genuine moments when they feel known and cared for. You’ll save yourself some embarrassment if you’re aware of any family dynamics that might be going on, and the couple will thank you for minimizing these potentially stressful situations.

Practically, this means meeting with your couple multiple times throughout the planning process, grabbing coffee, sending questionnaires, insta stalking them (part of the job description), and more. Your job is so much more than simply taking photos or setting up the welcome table.
